Malachy Doyle and Andrew Whitson return with another exciting tale of Molly and her friends

Graffeg are delighted to launch Molly and the Lighthouse, the next book in the popular Molly series from multi-award-winning children’s author and illustrator team Malachy Doyle and Andrew Whitson.

Molly is a young girl who lives on an island off the mainland coast with her family, friends and neighbours. One night, Molly realises the lighthouse isn’t working. She wakes up her friend Dylan, and they set off to help. But will Molly and Dylan be able to get the light working again in time to save her father’s fishing boat?

Molly and the Lighthouse is an exciting tale from a master storyteller and illustrator about the power of teamwork, bravery and helping people. The narrative is accompanied by the stunning artwork by Andrew Whitson that brings each page vividly to life.

In collaboration with Irish publisher An tSnáthaid Mhór, the eBook and hardback will be released simultaneously in three languages: English, Irish and Welsh.

Malachy Doyle said: ‘I live on a tiny island off the coast of Donegal, and so I’m really enjoying immersing myself in the world of Molly and her family and friends, who live on an island very like mine. Andrew and Graffeg did a wonderful job with the first story, and I’m immensely pleased that it’s developing into a series.’

Andrew Whitson said: ‘From the moment that Malachy presented me with the text for Molly and the Stormy Sea, I became immediately attached to this little girl with her generosity, perseverance and infinite optimism. I have always been a big fan of Malachy’s writing and feel privileged to be part of the team.’
