Queen of the Sky by Jackie Morris published by Graffeg

Queen of the Sky shares the amazing story of a peregrine falcon rescued from the sea off the remote coast of west Wales. Through a wonderful range of text, photography and illustrations, Jackie Morris tells the story of how her friend Ffion Rees nursed the falcon back to health and back into the wild, beautifully documenting the risks, triumphs and above all the relationship of trust which developed between the pair and which formed the basis of the falcon’s path to recovery and release. Beautifully illustrated throughout with photographs, drawings, sketches and magnificent paintings by Jackie, this compact edition details how bonds can form between animals and humans of all kinds in a time when caring for the environment is becoming an increasingly important issue.
