Julia Gregson Books
Julia Gregson is a British award-winning writer of novels and short stories who resides in Monmouthshire in Wales with her husband, daughter and four step-children.
Her novel East of the Sun was a Sunday Times Best Seller and a Richard and Judy Book Club choice and has sold in 25 countries. She became the 2009 Romantic Novelist of the year and the very next year went on to win the prestigious Prince Maurice prize for Literary Love Stories. Julia also won the Ryman’s Literary Review Award for her first published short story, Apple Blossom Time.
Julia was a Journalist for 25 years, living in Australia and worked for, Rolling Stone, The Times, Good Housekeeping and the Sydney Morning Herald. She was also a Foreign Correspondent for the United States of America and has interviewed some of the world’s most famous characters including one of the greatest heavyweight boxing champions of all time, Muhammad Ali.
Julia recently worked with Graffeg for the first time to publish the successful book, Crossing Borders. Crossing Borders contains interviews and photographic essays with 21 remarkable women who live and work in the Welsh-English Border. The book is about female success and features many women who have received international recognition in their field.
Crossing Borders gained fantastic recognition at this year’s Literary Hay Festival during a lively and witty conversation between Julia and some of the women from the book. The event welcomed an enthusiastic audience and Julia has since gone on to attend a number of successful events across the country.
