Amanda Owen, The Yorkshire Shepherdess, is Dalesman Yorkshirewoman of the Year

Sunday Times Best-selling author Amanda Owen was presented with the Yorkshirewoman of the Year prize at the Dalesman Awards 2015.

Amanda first rose to fame when she and her family appeared on three series of ITV’s The Dales. Shortly after, Amanda released her first book, The Yorkshire Shepherdess, which documented her journey from Hudderfield town-girl to hill farm shepherdess. The book spent five weeks on the Sunday Times Best-sellers List when it was released in 2014, and hit the best-sellers lists again when the paperback was released in February 2015.

Now, with a family of seven children (soon to be eight), 1000 sheep, along with horses, chickens and dogs roaming the farm, Amanda shares the daily highs and lows of life on her farm, Ravenseat, with over 15,000 followers on Twitter.

Amanda first began working with Graffeg in the summer of 2014 when we released her first official calendar documenting daily life on the farm.

Now, Amanda and Graffeg have produced a set of notecards featuring some of the beautiful photographs she has taken of life on the farm, along with her second official calendar for 2016.
