Caldey Island Launch Event

The press of Pembrokeshire joined us on Monday 26 July at the Caldey Island monastery guesthouse for the launch of Graffeg’s new title Caldey Island. With the official press launch on the island, followed by a signing at the Caldey Island shop, members of the local media covered the new title.

The book has received excellent press coverage with a feature on the BBC Wales evening news, including interviews with the photographer, Abbot and brothers. BBC Radio Wales has also given coverage on their Good Morning Wales programme, with in-depth interviews with the brothers about life as a monk on the island.
The public launch was held at the Caldey Abbey Giftshop and Tenby Bookshop, with buyers queuing to get their copy signed. The photo shows photographer Ross Grieve (left) and author Chris Howells (right) ready to sign copies outside the Tenby Bookshop.
