The ingredients of the Celtic regions are some of the finest possible.
Gilli Davies
Gilli Davies’ passion for food spans 30 years from running a bistro in Oxford at the age of 19 to writing and presenting a 10 part TV series, Tastes of Wales, in 1990. She has written 10 cookery books based on local food culture in Cyprus and Wales and more recently, organic produce. Since setting up her own company 5 years ago she has run children’s cookery classes, a training scheme to encourage restaurants to use local ingredients and a variety of other food events. She has also contributed to committees for the FSA and Defra.
A member of the Guild of Food Writers for the past 20 years, Gilli was elected as Chairman in Spring 2007. With over 360 members, the Guild is an energetic organisation which supports and promtes food writers across Britain, running their own prestigious Food Writer Awards annually and hosting a number of ‘foodie’ events for members.
